As far as I know, you can enable or disable auto-close when leaving the private session. I have not tested to see if it works from classic to mobile or classic to beta. But classic to classic definitely will let you stay. There was also a point of time when they had something called demon client, which allowed you to join private sessions remaining hidden (without being seen). That's no longer available though.

Ive see people give out room urls to their rooms. They call it keys to their rooms. So you get a by pass as long as you have the room url to there private rooms. Its another back door in. Does it still work today? That I dont know. I havent tryed it. And as posted above. You can envite people to your private rooms to use ad enjoy and leave them with there special someone and as long as they dont crash they can stay as long as they like with the owner of the room gone. The new VIP rooms also have settings to allow x amount of people in a room and friends only and vip only so its eliminating alot from entering the rooms you dont want there as well.

I think those were public rooms set to private, not private chats rooms. IMVU has public rooms and private rooms, but you can artificially set a public room to private. An artificially set room still has a URL, but a room that was always private ... I don't think has one. Maybe I'm wrong.

@Don Von Alpha Dom

That sounds about right.

For those who are unaware, it's the Open availability option under the room settings. Open meaning its unlisted under Chat Rooms search and requires you to use the rooms direct link to join the room. As for rooms that were always private, there isn't a way to access them directly. I know of a way to find open/unlisted room URLs. But that's not something I'd disclose to the public due to the potential for abuse and misuse.
