Computer Advice Needed

I currently own a Dell Insperion Laptop from 2017 for imvu classic and it lags and is so slow and my mom still gets Cristina’s gifts for me and stuff so I was wondering should I just take my computer into Best Buy and see what they can do to upgrade/fix it up or just get a new laptop and if so what laptop is cheap but runs imvu smoothly and will let me continue creating?

Have u tried clearing the IMVU cache? That might help with the lag a bit?

1) Disable some of your startup programs, if you don't need them.

2) As sadecatgirl recommended, clear your IMVU cache, using the IMVU Cache Cleaner: viewtopic.php?f=179&t=14248

3) Try switching to IMVU Lite, for a cleaner safer faster IMVU experience: viewtopic.php?f=179&t=8013

4) You can use Crucial System Scanner to help recommend hardware upgrades that are compatible with your computer: https://www.crucial.com/store/systemscanner
