They do need a mafia account.
No, the other person does not need the deep client for you to use the deep client.

I'm having an issue with imvu lite, it won't load the login menu, when i open imvu it shows the imvu logo with the green bar loading but it closes right after, no error message, it just won't open. the official imvu classic client works fine, this started happening with the last versions of imvu lite after i format my computer

You may have to re-install IMVU classic: https://static-akm.imvu.com/imvufiles/i ... _545.6.exe
Then download and install IMVU-Lite.
IMVU-Lite has security in place prevent incomplete installations from starting up.
