Hello there, say if i wanted to create my own mansion or something for imvu how exactly is the set up? Is there template houses or template rooms for you already? similar to sims? And if not how long on average does it take to make full blow world. like the beach chat rooms with the water, island. Doesn’t that make everything time consuming

Actually if you are a beginner all you have to do is to derive on the room you want….prepare some textures to change some of the parts in the room…..then save and submit it….it wont take you too long if you are just to change some of the furniture etc….in the room…..if you need further assistance…let us know. I supposed you have a creator account already. You can browse some textures you can use. Like floor….wall….water….etc….Just make sure they are free textures. Not watermarked texture. Goodluck and enjoy making your first room.

As Tessasia33 said above, derivation can be a faster job, and at the same time swap textures, opacity maps and blablabla. Now, you mentioned 'creating', if that's what you're thinking, rather than 'deriving' from some other creator. you will have to use Blender or 3dMax, or another similar, sketchup, Revit. After that, export the fbx at the correct scale so that imvu doesn't show errors, and of course, add points so that players can walk around the area.
It can be a little more complicated if you're a beginner, my advice? Go to the store, find something beautiful and open your living room, in the beginning that's what I did and over time learn how to work in rooms, furniture, avatars. It's a lengthy process, you don't learn overnight, but once you learn it's fruitful.
