Meet people from imvu in real life

When I used to play IMVU, I met many people from other countries and even from my own. I made friends or girlfriends from different countries, but I also had some friends or girlfriends from the same country, even from the same city. However, it never crossed my mind to meet these people in real life. We shared photos and such, but I never considered meeting them in person. Yet, several of these people did want to meet me in real life. In fact, one of my partners offered to pay for everything for me to visit her. We did video calls and all, but it never went beyond that, though she kept insisting.

Did this ever happen to you? Or would you like it to happen, to meet people from IMVU in real life? If you've already done it, share your experiences!

so far i've met 3 people from the same general city as me! never really thought of meeting them irl tho lol would kinda be cool/weird if that were to happen

one of them tho moved to Florida to be with their wife (met on vu and now they're tg irl)

That crazy, I know a girl who went to visit a guy from another country like 2 times, the first time she was accompanied by her father and brother, crazy hahahahah

okay lets break this down..yeah we all had offers. near and far... some tempting and some not what so ever.. almost every meet up i ever knew pass lunch.. have gone fricking nuts. i could pull up atleast 4 cases of folks having relates in the rl that turned to murder / stalker related issues. to be honest i have'nt seen one real life relate from here not turn side ways sometimes to the point of death. so my pov about this is JUST DONT DO IT. ITS NOT WORTH THE RISK. we have some great friends here i love some of them but rl is diff. we just dont need to put are rl in jeoparey. i was with a women far 7 years here and she was 70 miles away . yeah we talked about it. but it never happened. now im happy it didnt... just look up imvu murders you cant find atleast two right off and much more if you dig. so really is it worth it???

I've met several people from IMVU in real life, even a couple girlfriends, one of which I fell in love with. Unfortunately due to long distance and some poor behavior on my part, it only last a couple years. If you our site counts, then I met one of my best friends

because of IMVU and we've met up irl several times. I was his best man at his wedding after all.

I don't think there's anything wrong with meeting people from IMVU in rl as long as you take the time to get to know them first. It's no different than dating apps or other social media sites. Sure, there's a lot of nasty people on VU but if you vet them first, share pictures, voice and video chat, chat for several months to a year or more etc.. then you should be alright.

That's a long time to spend with someone and not get to know them. You don't think you knew them well enough after all that time to meet up?

The girl I fell in love with lived on the opposite side of the world, but she came to visit me twice. Of course we had talked on IMVU and the phone for over 2 years before that happened and our families were aware of the situation.

i did get to know her very well. but at the end of the relate it was a good thing we never met..and all your success are a wonderfull thing. congrats. but the number dont lie. in gen its a bad thing simple as that. i wish it could be. but it aint. numbers dont lie. maybe im ood but it never changes...

Or that sounds good brother, because of course I was just a friend with the girl I was talking to, but I think that behind that supposed trip, to meet her was for something more than friends and well I better leave it there, but if I share the idea that they know each other well, by call, photos, etc, and that it is not from one day to the other, if not that they get to at least a year; on the other hand, one of the viewers of my channel, connects very well with me and my group of friends and he came from where he lives to meet me, but the truth is that we have known each other for several years, and call after call, there was no fear on either side.
