Shop Search and Creator Visibility

We want to inform you about recent improvements to the Shop search algorithm across all IMVU platforms. These updates, made in response to feedback from our community, are designed to better prioritize product names, keywords, and descriptions, ensuring that users can more easily find specific products by name and access more accurate and relevant search results when browsing the catalog.

As a result of these changes, some Creators may notice that their products appear lower in search results than before. To help users find your products more easily, we recommend guiding them to filter products by Creator or by searching for unique characters that you consistently include in your product names.

We understand that this change may impact the visibility of some products, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance the overall shopping experience for all users. Additionally, we are working to improve the visibility of searching and filtering by Creator. In an upcoming update for IMVU Web and Desktop, we will enhance the accessibility of the field that allows users to directly search for products by Creator, making it more visible and easier to find. Similar improvements are planned for other platforms in the future.

They put this on the imvu discord server, but they don't explain how to be on the first pages or on cell phones how to be above other creations, here is my question... What are we supposed to call our products so that they appear in recommended? How are keyboards used when uploading our products? Do you feel that the images no longer attract attention like before, since many players are mobile players and only see the 3D model in a gray avatar... these are doubts that times I have and I would like you to help me answer them :p

Reason: Added quotes around text pulled from another source

@Kleixx

Can you provide the message link for the source if its on discord? I'm in IMVU Official and I'm not seeing it anywhere.
Nevermind I found it lol. However... when copying information from another source, especially in bulk like that, please ensure that you use the quote tags to quote the text content if it is word for word or mostly just copied from another source with few edits. Otherwise, such posts may be viewed as CopyPasta/Medit Farming up to the discretion of our Mods, and a warning may be issued. I've quoted the text in your post for you this time. Thanks! :)

Oh, I didn't know that, and how do you do that from the link?

@Kleixx

Not from a link but you choose the quote tag which looks like a pair of quotation marks, then paste the stuff you wanna have quoted. Or select the text you wanna quote if its already there, and hit the quote button. Alternatively, you can also type it out: (quote)some text here(/quote) but replace () with brackets ([) So you'd get
some text here

Thanks bro, I literally didn't know how to do that. I make a lot of posts and I don't want to be banned or receive negative points.

No problem! I'm always happy to take a moment for those willing to learn :awesome13:
Quoting also is a great thing if you wanna reply to someone's post btw. When you click quote on anothers post, you have the same effect as described earlier, and if its a larger post you're quoting, you can just remove everything except the portion you wanna reply too, so it's clear what you're responding too. Otherwise you'll have cases where there's a long quote chain from quoting a reply that has a quote, that has another quote, that has another quote, that has.... Yea you get me, right?Ofc don't edit the actual text itself lol, just cut out what isn't relevant and leave the rest intact so lol

Yes, I saw that they do it in several posts, but I didn't know how to do it, now that you showed me yes haha

Spot on my dude! Although for organizational and clarity purposes it would be more ideal to have the quote above your response /first, since you are replying to that quote. :awesome13:
