Well, I brought AP and Age verification almost a day. Just to release the "rod" is behind a pay wall no clue how triggers work. Was kinda disappointed as well when I would out I just couldn't use Ap poses without other person having AP. Looks like I gotta buy my partner AP as well. Was searching on Google on how to get the working tool and stumbled onto this website. Everyone does looks friendly and I had no clue there's AP plus and anything just like damn man. Looks like IMVU is looking to milk out their players. Well... I only play IMVU with my partner. What about you guys? I'm curious to know how people spend time on it. I'm actually surprised they don't offer a way for you to get a discount on buying AP together with someone(maybe a one time coupon code?) That seems like it would be a good idea. Yeah AP+ is such a cash-grab. Regarding IMVU, I'm a lifer. Been there 15 years. It's my main way of socializing, seeing as I'm a bit of a misfit and don't always play well with others. It's also my job. However my best friends and my girlfriend are all on VU with me too. We don't keep stuff there but it is a big part of all of our lives. It is also a godsend for LDRs in my opinion. A way to be physical even when the miles keep you apart for the time being.

Yes absolutely! Just make sure to follow the rules so you don't just vanish one day haha. So there is no rule against owning more than 1 account so AFAIK you can use the same ID. But it has been ages since I bought AP and AV. Yeah IMVU is a blessing and a curse in many ways. But I'm still going into my second decade so you know, it's doing something right...and it might be virtual crack. I often liken it to Hotel California, none of us leave for good.
If you can weed through all the trolls, mimes that don't speak and other trash yes, there are some truly amazing souls on VU. Yeah VU has given me plenty of lifelong friendships and I've met several people from there in the real. Not all ended in good ways but they were definitely experiences.
I think it works so well for LDRs is because it almost tricks the brain a bit that yes you are being physical because over time your avatar really become an extension of one's self. Many of the people I know have discussed that feeling before. Which is kinda crazy tbh. Oh side note on the medits, not everything. Credits will need to bought with cash. But I think almost all the like BM items are buyable with medits. That will be your trigger dicks, rooms, poses and such. Also don't forget there is a medit store as well. This will have account goodies like VIP, awards and colored names. Queue the pranks friends played on me before I had AP long ago lol. I don't think AP+ is even remotely worth it, so save your money and use the Black Market stuff from here if possible. It'll be significantly cheaper, especially if it's a pre-dev item. But even without, there's a lot you can do with the imagination.

I've always used VU as a mix of social space, fun/leisure and for NSFW relations. Lil bit of everything, y'know? I cherish some of the lasting friends I've made along the way, one of which I've transitioned to SL with as well and know IRL now.
