I think I got a viros from MSN.. it takes away all my memory space..
It went from 23 GB to 0 MB.. I scanned the pc.. no funds.

When I shut down the computer and put it on again.. I get some space back.
Wich I need to be able to do anything.. that's why I can't go on imvu now, too.

I tried deleting stuff bigger than 5 GB.. the space was given free but it also went down to 0.
And it goes damn fast, Tony checks (4.7 GB)..3 seconds..tony checks again (4.2 GB)..

Amazingly, I can go on the internet..

Please just helpful comments.

Tried using System Restore? Which operating system are you using?

EDIT: And one more question, do you know the virus's core location? Where it is located on your harddrive?

The only way to do it is reinstall your Windows, lol... But if you don't have it on a CD, you are pretty screwed... And as Sam said, try system restore. You could also password protect your folders? Maybe that way it would stop it. Also try to format your disks. If all else fails, all you got left is to buy a HDD.

Yeah a system restoration might work.It fixed all my problems until now.And you can also undo the restoration if it didn't work.

Tho if that doesn't work, I think you have a compression bomb.
A compression bomb is infinitely compressed virus file which is only kBs in size but automatically decompresses and can easily fill and crash your hard disk.I had one a few years ago.
If you have any space left install other anti virus program and scan it again.I suggest you either "Spyware search and destroy",I used this program before and it works really good and it's also easy...or "malwarebytes" this it will scan the whole of your PC and tell you whats wrong with it...... and if it can, it will remove trogans and some viruses, depending on the strength of the virus.

Tho I had to get my computer to a specialist to get it fixed and he reinstalled the whole windows....let's hope it's not that bad xD

Anyways, you should try the system restoration.

Tried.. Windows Vista
No, I do not know..

I don't have a CD.
But I'm able to get one and even if I did,
I will and would not restore my computer.

Right now.. It stays on 1.44 GB.. I should have 20-something GB, but anyways it's not going down.

I wonder why AntiVir didn't find anything.

Well, I use Malwarebytes' Anti Malware program, and I have the full version of it, if you want to try it.

If you can know the exact location of the virus, you can use Microsoft's recovery console, which comes on the Windows CD/DVD, to go there and remove it, then log on windows in safe mode, open regedit and search for all the keys containing the virus's executable name.

I use Windows Vista, and I'm using AVG at the moment with other minor malware/spyware protection software.

Damn, then all you have left to do is buy a new hard drive... It can't be the CPU's fault. Also, what anti-virus do you have? Avast Pro is the best.

I fixed it. I don't know how, but I did it.. I guess running an instant program such as a game and letting it use memory space wich it shows it doesn't have.. blah blah, got it?
