Lol Chris, the Babylonians who first made the Zodiac signs based them on constellations, they are the same everywhere and of course are based on constellations.

But yeah, what you said about Ophiuchus being fake, it IS a constellation, however I don't like it being a zodiac sign because, pure and simple, there isn't space enough for it in our calendars, unless they add a 13th month :3 rofl that would be something but its impossible.

And the signs changing dates, that's a real fact you know, because uhh...well its kinda hard to explain, the moon's gravity shifted the axis of rotation of the earth VERY slightly so the constellations are at slightly different positions now relative to Earth. That's why they changed the dates of Zodiac signs by one month.

Actually, in China, the Zodiac is based on the years; also known as the Yearly Zodiac.

Then, in the US, the Zodiac is based on the month / seasons, also known as the Tropical Zodiac.

Finally...you have the Astrological Zodiac which is used by paganism.

Guys, Ophiuchus or whatever its called was only misinterpreted in newspapers as a new zodiac sign. The person whom was interviewed was the leader of some astrological group or something and he mentioned that Ophiuchus could be a new zodiac sign, however it was never said that it was.

Exactly, but the dates of the existing zodiacs have changed.

If I remember correctly from one of the science documentaries I watched, Astrology is no longer valid because the constellations have moved over time so they are no longer in the correct place to be valid anymore.

Idk though, I've always thought things like astrology were dumb. I prefer hard science and fact over everything else, but that's just me. ~No Flame War Intended ~

You do realise that the Eastern (sidereal) is affected, Western Zodiacs, based upon Seasons and the Sun, are still the same. (you know the type you get in the daily newspaper in places like Australia, UK and U.S.A)
