Does anyone know if I can still use this to sell products directly from my site, instead of re-directing customers to IMVU's shopping cart or client? I'm trying to create an automated system to gift customers their purchase as soon as the Paypal payment has gone through.

To my knowlage, yes, it should still work.

Hmm... well I have read through the doc
downloaded then copy and pasted the IXR_Library code onto a page on my site
used the address: https://secure.imvu.com/catalog/skudb/gateway.php
and ran just a check balance script

I got an error saying that the html status code is not 200... looked that up and that means the request was not accepted by IMVU's gateway
