I'm a lawyer in California. Earlier this week, my law firm filed a class action lawsuit against IMVU for reducing the playback time of audio items. Among other things, we're asking the Court to require IMVU to reimburse affected users for the money they spent on these items.

I'm interested in speaking with anyone who was affected by IMVU's behavior. If you or someone you know was affected, please message me. Or, feel free to call me directly at (415) 789-6390.

You can read the complaint at http://www.gutridesafier.com/content/imvu-complaint.pdf.

Thank you,

Todd Kennedy, Esq.

Great initiative tkennedy! I wholeheartedly support you! Personally, I never bothered with audio items aside from my flash radio, but I know a ton of people who were affected by this, and will gladly pass the word. Most of them are not members of TIM however, or if they are I don't know them on both sites, still I'm sure you wouldn't mind that.

To pfunkkillah, based on what I got from this, you don't need to do anything to get your credits back. If the lawsuit is successful, everyone who purchased audio products who was affected (which I'm sure IMVU Staff has a record of all the purchases somewhere) should be automatically reimbursed for their troubles. If IMVU Staff decides to try to sweep this under the rug, after being defeated, and simply leave the option for people to complain and receive a refund (which seems likely based on how stingy IMVU Staff is) than you simply must file a complaint with IMVU Staff. Either way, contact tkennedy and explain to him your situation, and I'm sure if there's anything you need to do personally he'll let you know.

All developers can see the sale statics so imvu must be able to see them.
