You should be safe then Spring. The virus did a really crappy job at spreading through the site to our members. Most of the damage was done to the site its self. Though, it is still a good idea for everyone to do as Spring did and scan their computer, just in case.

Normally damage to the site would not take 3-4 days to fix, but in this case the virus got to our backup servers, our image server, and our watchbot server. All of the user areas of our site are fixed, but our backup servers which would have kicked in with any other case...are still down as our scientists get them back up. Let's just say this virus did a dozy on our servers, and I congratulate everyone who stuck it out with us till we were back up.

The forums should be clean now, there are still a few broken things but those are not related to the trojan. I hope to start working on the site again soon.

Why would anyone leave when we knew you were going to pull through and get the site back up, atleast I knew that. I've only been here a short time and you haven't made a reason for me to leave.

As DM pointed out to me a few days ago, running a site that sets off people's anti-viruses sort of ruins your credibility.

Yes it does , when i heard about the trojan i almost left from the fear of getting my computer infected . but i just waited it was fixed.

I was still on here until the site was back up. I've come to be fond of TIM

Do you have javascript blocked? The Trojan worked in three stages. Stage one loaded as javascript and forced you to download an exe. Then the second stage installed a fake antivirus which hijacked your computer. The fake antivirus then hijacked ftp clients and embed the original javascript with a simple varying encryption into site files containing the names; "index", "auth", "login", and "main". From there it went back to stage one...spreading like any other virus.

I use escan. It is 100x better. It only points out virus that will damage your computer and it will only point it once. Unlike most and till now it never happened with me visiting the site. So it's clear now.

As for discussion on leaving, I wouldn't leave this site for a small issue. I tried messaging you if you eneded help but I couldn't send private messages because of the site being messed up.
