This works but I don't know why someone wouldn't just make an account.

It's more like you have an account and let's say you are 13 in year. You made your account with an age given as 13 and youtube doesn't let you watch some video. Now you can fill the annoying form all again just to watch one adult youtube video or you can just use a link and watch. Less time consuming for same amount of fun <3

There are actually quite a lot of videos on YouTube that get flagged as mature for numerous reasons. They just aren't 18+ in the way you're thinking (i.e. porn) Although you can find softcore on YT if you look hard enough.

Anyway, I am not entirely sure how someone could "accidentally" put up a video of themselves masturbating on YouTube. Even if you manage to select the wrong file in the upload prompt, you still have to wait for it to process and you can cancel it at any time if I remember correctly. So unless the clip was so short that the upload was almost instant, then I don't see how she could have done it on accident.

Just an update: This still works. Here are some other useful tricks: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/10-youtube ... now-about/

I like this one:

9. Bypass Youtube Regional Filtering
Some videos are only available in certain parts of the world. Your IP Address is used to determine your location and then allow or deny access to the video. Change the url from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<somecode> to http://www.youtube.com/v/<somecode>

It doesn't work, the video will still display the error when you hit play. That was the thing I was trying to bypass when I found that page. I have yet to find anything that bypasses the regional filtering. Even the proxy addon anonymoX didn't work for me. Granted it only has like 3 countries: UK,US,NL. So idk what country could view the video I wanted to see.

Perhaps it has something to do with the location set for the attached google account.
