I would like to give my opinion about it. Only my thoughts anyway.

I believe the flat graphic simplifies and makes our website very smooth and understandable.
I think usually most visitors are noobs, I was a noob as well, and I realized after many visit that there was a fuck drop-down menu under the headings.
Well.... these noobs, they are like a mirror for us. They're showing us that the site is not so simple to browse, plus it has a lot of old methods that doesn't work, and this is why I seriously believe we may need to renew as to make it as simple and logical pages. Ok ok, I know I can't help you, and I know just Don and DM can have ftp access, so am aware that's an hard work, I know DM working in it since long time ago, and like profane I can say he's working good. That's just my opinion, I usually use to think in business way, but in this case adding a part of my heart too. I love our site.

categorize links further

What kind of categorizing would you like to see?

categorize movies into things like genres or release date

The main problem with this suggestion is the amount of effort required on my part to accomplish that. Right now, the way I get movies to add to that page is by manually searching YouTube for movies and then copy/paying their id and title into a text document in this format: [id],[title]. Then once I have a decent amount of them, I paste them into a program I wrote to format them into a php array like this:

Code
array(
 title => '',
 tags => '',
 id => '',
),

After that I paste them into my php data file where all the movies are stored and read from. This becomes really tedious, especially when you're doing it for 100+ movies.

So, in order to add the degree of filtering you want, I'd have to not only do what I said above but also look up each movie on imdb.com and copy down it's genre and release date. Right now that is just way too much effort (even with my gf helping) for something that not only doesn't earn me anything but also doesn't seem to be that popular. Perhaps if I could automate the process more and lots of people wanted it, I might be willing to do that.

Don and I have discussed this issue before. We plan on adding a graveyard system where old threads can go to die but still be visible. Don Von wanted to do some other work first so I'm not sure where we are with it yet. You'd have to ask him.

I was thinking of manually doing it. Maybe you could have a form for submission. Like grant special people access to the form and if we find something we can submit the form which auto updates the list. Have moderators and such to sort out lists into tables and stuff so you don't have to make a huge load of complicated code and not much stress is on you.

Setting up a system like that is a lot harder than it sounds and I'm not quite sure how to do it. I'd also have to talk to Don about security issues.

However, if you want to find movies on YouTube and send them to me, I'll gladly add them. Here's an example of how they should be formatted:

Code

    Shoe and Boot Tutorial for 3ds Max and IMVU - Part 3 of 3,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4smpStUZLI
    Shoe and Boot Tutorial for 3ds Max and IMVU - Part 2 of 3,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyEwLGjHrpQ

Title first, then a comma, then the video url.

Also, this has made me think about learning how to do create pop up dialogs that most sites have nowadays.
