If you're using the IMVU client version 522.20 or up, chances are you may have lost access to the inbox mode. IMVU is phasing it our in order to consolidate the 2 messaging systems they use into one.

Read all about it here: http://www.imvu.com/catalog/modules.php ... sc&start=0

On the one hand, I can understand why they want to do this. Cleaning up their code and making things easier to work with will allow them to focus on better things. That said, I do hope this is only temporary and once they have the code improved they will add it back into the client.

However, all is not lost. The Inbox mode still exists and you can still access it. Simply type the following code into your address bar OR the Windows run dialog (Windows key + r) and it will open the Inbox mode:

Code

I didn't use it much anyhow :/

You know IMVU focuses too much time on removing code when they should be focused on fixing the code they already have. They just keep popping new code in that's broken. Theres been so many features ive seen come and go. Some were great and others left you thinking.... WTF lol

I still have my client inbox as well as the new one on the web.....yay....but if they end up taking it away....then I will use the code D.M has supplied....thank you D.M

They have since returned the inbox due to nonstop complaints....and probably realizing that people couldn't see all of their spam messages in client, resulting in less clicks.

Ah, I guess I was lucky they never took my inbox away. I also don't use it much either. I mostly use community for messages. But it is nice to have if you are in the client. Then you don't have to go back and forth between community and the client to read any messages you get. And it is nice to know about the program D.M made, just in case we do lose the inbox in the future.
