This is an informative post about a piece of software that could be useful for people who make IMVU videos or takes screenshots.

This program has lots of useful features that you can read about on the features page here: https://getsharex.com/features/ but the main benefits for me are as follows:

-It's free.
-Has a portable version.
-Can be run in a virtual environment.
-Screen Region selecting.

Others may be interested in it's sharing abilities which allow you to upload the videos and screenshots you record to over 100 different sites such as Imgur, ImageShack, Dropbox, FTP, Google Drive.

This might be a nice alternative for you to make your ad videos with. Free, portable, easy to use and more lightweight.

Let me know what you guys think.

Do you know if it has pre-set capture sizes?

It has settings for capturing specific windows and specific monitors. By default, the region selection is not set to a specific size. However, in the settings you can set it to a fixed size:

Another thing you might like is the ability to customize the tasks which are basically hot-key combinations for doing different things.

I find myself using this program more and more. Just a few moments ago I used the "Screen Recording (GIF)" feature to record me using one of my programs for demonstration purposes.

That feature is really handy because it lets you select a window or select a region and it automatically creates the GIF and saves it so it can be really convenient and quick to use. It also gives you playback option on your screen or in the program window.

I'm glad I discovered this program.
