Now a days, browsing the internet can be dangerous for your computer. Every time you visit a website, that website could send you all kinds of nasty bugs or steal information from your computer. Even trusted websites can not be trusted anymore because of the ads they display or the third party scripts they use for tracking users. Websites have a hard time controlling their advertisers. Hackers love to hide horrible surprises inside of ads, and steal all of your personal information using scripts. With IMVU's HP customization system, it practically turns their entire site into a cross site scripting / injection nightmare. Here are some internet browser add-ons that our staff recommends for protecting yourself against hackers on IMVU.
Script Blockers - these block known malicious JavaScript scripts that try to track, fingerprint, and steal your personal information. You have the option of individually allowing each site you visit to run scripts, giving you control over which scripts are ran in your internet browser. Warning, script blockers might break a website till you tell the script blocker to allow scrips on that site.
