so i ran across a site for credits and the seller was asking for Username and User ID
so i gave him it and like couple hours later i was getting credits coming in but they were being sent to me as offers..

if anyone knows how this is done could you please DM me thanks

What kinda offers, like Imvu offers? If so, I'm not sure but, it sounds sorta exploit like. Be careful, if it is and the catch the account doing it, it might get you banned. Or it could be phishing links, idk since I cant see the message. But hopefully someone will shed some light on the situation.

I agree with above. My thinking is that because your IMVU ID and username is required to receive credits from offers, they're probably tampering with that to the point where you're automatically sent credits. IMVU checks all offers when you receive credits, I suggest avoiding getting credits like this as your account can get suspended once they catch on. It won't be hard for them to.

Run a packet sniffer while doing free credit offers on IMVU. You will see that many of the API's that the companies use ... pass user ID's and IMVU usernames in plain text. All you have to do is change the ID and username to someone else and the offer's reward gets sent to them instead. I use to use the trick to bot IMVU's video ads which give free credits ... but I would do it for other people so they would get sent a few thousand credits. I have not done it in years, but the API technology has not changed much.

... SoftPuffs is right though. If they cheated on the offer, you will get banned from IMVU for fraud against IMVU's partners who run the free credit offers. There were a ton of big name devs and a couple of IMVU forum mods who all got banned from IMVU at the same time a few years back by a h4c|<7r who was using that trick. I'm not sure if IMVU staff ever fully patched the security hole. By the sounds of your story, they didn't.

i wouldnt click the links incase of IP logger or keylogger, easy way to get in, and the free credits deal is kinda fraud. i keep getting fucked over By fraudulents credits ppl spent on shop, yea Don i remember that and that is still going on, alot of creators just drop off map few months back and steadily over time, also, from my knowledge, correct me if im wrong but anything from imvu.inc furniture, poses, noob hairs and clothes contains a spybot to monitor ur BM stuff and other data

agreed. some case people got h4c|< like type ur user namd password you got 15m credit that is bs that keylogger or think that sent you password well ur fucked now.

You mean you gave your password too???? GAWD, don't you know you never do that? Usually, ones who ask for your password is the biggest clue it is a scam or h4(k. Hope you have changed both your USER ID AND PASSWORD now!!
