After 10 years of selling our products through PayPal, as of last night (10/12/2017) PayPal has sadly banned us from their service for "selling obscene material". As we surly do not plan on stopping our development and sale of wonderfully obscene material, we are looking for a service to replace PayPal as our payment processor.

In the mean time, as a temporary solution if you wish to do so, we are accepting amazon gift card codes as payment, which can be purchased via paypal, amazon, and other sources:

https://www.paypal-gifts.com/us/brands/amazon.html
https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Amazon-co ... BT00DC6QU4
https://www.gyft.com/buy-gift-cards/amazon-com/

Simply purchase a card equal to the amount in your bill and reply to the bill with the card's redemption code.

Our staff is currently searching for a more permanent and professional solution. We will be meeting with several payment processing agents over the oncoming week. If all goes well, we hope to have a new payment system up within 2 weeks. We hope to see you back then. Thank you for supporting the IMVU Mafias.

P.S. Currently this change only effects sex products. We are open to suggestions and discussion on this topic. What are your thoughts? Do you have any a favorite way to pay for things online?

Stripes is alright alternative for PayPal. I think it's the second best to go with. Also can be implemented to the webpages with no need to hop off to different sites. No idea thought of their policy for sex products (virtual)

Thank you. We looked into stripes. Stripes prohibits "Adult content and services" : https://stripe.com/us/prohibited-businesses

The only open processor of paysafe cards in our area is MetroPCS, which requires you to own one of their phones and manually enter in the customer's payment information. Zero automation. We use to accept MetroPCS, but the maintenance and manpower needed to accept them was too high, so we had to stop.

However, we are currently trying to strike a deal with MerchantScout, which may allow us to start accepting paysafe cards again: http://www.merchantscout.com/high-risk-merchant-account

Bitcoin?

We have been accepting bitcoin for the past 2 years, but only 1 person in the past 2 years ever took advantage of that payment option. Bitcoin is not mainstream enough for most people to consider using it.

Good point and already taken care of. We convert our bitcoin profits into gift cards right away. Gift cards are not susceptible to the price influx of bitcoin.

Sadly, we bring in too much money to do that. As soon as you make your first 15 grand each year, PayPal makes you turn the account into a merchant account. We would have to be consistently finding ways to make and verify new private use PayPal accounts ... which would most likely involve fraud ... which we are not willing to commit.
