$600? I'm using the Razer Tiamat: https://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/ ... amat-71-v2

They were about $200 when I got mine a few years ago.

Logitech G430 is pretty good but way cheaper than the price you indicated (600$ ?)

Don't buy Philips Headphones, I have a very bad experience with them. Good sound but they get damaged easily.

AKG or Sony or Sennheiser are good in this price range.

Turtle Beach are overpriced but solid and some have mics.

Just remember that you aren't doing studio quality work and that everyone's ears have different frequency ranges. Among recording studio headphones I have used happily -

Sony MDR-7506

AKG K-240 MKII

Sennheiser HD25 Light

Your mileage may vary based on closed / open and plus or minus mic capacity for gaming/chat.

When recording I use protools 12, I also use studio live mixer, along with a eleven rack interface, and a few others. For mics I use a bluebird. For monitor and headphones I use jbl, I have many Mics depends on live or studio use. I use dynamic akg mics for live sound, and a BlueBird condenser mic for studio. I have a few other condenser mics, but the bluebird is the best by far!

I have an audio engineering friend and have been to his studio multiple times. I usually see Audio-Technicas, Sony, Sennheisers, and occasionally Bose used in the studio. Not sure if that is what you're looking for exactly but I've heard they're quality headphones

I'm not too familiar with DACs myself, but in terms of headphones Audio-Technicas are very good for their price range, a lot of my friends own a pair of audio-technica ATH-M50x and they are really pleased with it. They usually go for around 150. A lot of people suggest those for closed headphones that are pretty all rounders for most music genres.

That obviously depends on what you are looking for though, for that price range I'd assume you'd have some specific use for them that you have in mind. If you just simply want some good sounding headphones, then you can definitely go under 600 budget. But considering you want an external dac that isn't built in on your computer, tablet or phone, I'm sure you might want different ones :P

Should look into Reddit, they have entire sub where they have wikis for headphones and dac suggestions, or even post in there to ask. Hope you'll find a good ones for your own need!

Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones are pretty nice, they're around 400 and they're most definitely worth the price.
