Update! As of 26 October, 2015 - IMVU has released new exporters that work with most all versions of 3ds Max up through 3ds Max 2016.

With the new FBX upload into create don't really need the exporters now FYI. Everything just need be the way you want with materials in place and labaled in max and save as fbx. It is a new method so not perfect. This was their attempt to be able to get meshers to be able to use other 3d software.

The problem with all these links is that the old tuts on imvu isnt there anymore. any way toupdate these linka?
