I'm rather annoyed about it, but I found it very funny that my bus service that I use, public transport, that is, sent me a link to stay subscribed and when it got to the page about my personal details, they had -Male -Female -Transgender and -Don't Apply to Any of the Above or something along those lines.

I can see why they're doing it, but I am annoyed by removing it as I use it, and it's useful to know what other people are.

Agree. All i can say is "wow" too and .. well. This world is going crazy a way too much.
Soon we won't be able to say a friends name out loud as it would be "unauthorized personal data sharing". Soon we wont even be able to say "Hey you look great today" to our mate in work as it would be "sexual harassment".(Esp if youre some famous movie producer - wink - ) This world is becoming extreme, i swear. Eeverything is being twisted and overreacted. Welcome to 2018.

@AndrewVu
While that is a bit extreme, I do understand what you're saying. I feel the same way, everything must be "PC" these days. Everything is offensive and everyone is a victim.

I have a cousin irl for example who can't decide what gender SHE wants to be and gets offended whenever you use the wrong pronoun. But since she can't decide what she wants to be, no pronoun is okay so everything is offensive to her.

I have found a lot of people are upset this feature has been removed and are now stating their orientation as either part of their tag line or their bio. I would also disagree with VU that not many people used this feature as someone who checks cards I found many people had a preference selected.

Preferences do come in handy when you are looking for a Partner much as does ones Sex. IMO it's kinda rude to ask someone hey whats your sexual preference as well as by the way what gender are you. This seems to lead to more catfishing for people. Get out your poles and start fishing. True on VU it does not matter what is behind the Avatar but when you are with that person a while feelings start to develop outside of VU and that is when it becomes hard on people. But then again sometimes by then people have talked to one another verbally or have met IRL. There are both benefits and downfalls depending on the situations.

Are they gonna make a update to completely remove it off our cards?

They have already done mine and others a few days ago. :kat_emoji4:

But I see some others have not been changed yet, so maybe they going by areas.

I don't get this why would they need to remove it could be a bug but it takes long time to fix it. If it was against something they could of changed "orientation" to something else. Now it's really hard to see how some people are, not saying that most of people don't lie on imvu about their sexual orientation.

It never bother me so I think it’s fine the way it is .

It's kinda hilarious. A month ago if you had asked me what someones orientation was, I would have said idk, never really bothered to look, lemme check. Now I find myself looking at that field on every card I check wondering - Hmmm wonder what their orientation is? Did they put it in their interests or tagline? - lol. Seems like all the new laws have really done is drawn more attention to it rather than making it more private, but that could just be me.
