I'm not an expert but this are my thoughts.
It's not so easy to create when you are a new to all of it including the arts it self.
Some good tips is to look at what others have made and get the ideas from them and Re-Make it your own way. You can use Photoshop or Gimp which ever program you prefer out of those is alright too as long as you can picture manipulation and Art.
Grabbing an already made product and just submitting it yourself as is can be an option but copyrights and stuff like that may happen. Another way to look for ideas is searching trough websites and google images to get a better idea and more "original".

Another great idea would be to create a good icon that would attract the attention of the buyer to check out the product. Icons are not as hard as they seem and you can find various tutorials around YouTube to help you make a simple one from there on you make it better. I have done mines by combining different tutorials and attaching what I have learned from both into one.
Promote you products around Pulse and groups. Also share it with friends and wear it yourself to promote it, people will see you and them with it and will want to buy them if they like it. Reviews help so ask for them and if you can gift do so to those who will leave a review for you.
The price is also a great thing to look after. When you create from a product make sure its from the 2nd Dev at least usually the first one ends up been the empty one. so creating from the beginning of the Dev Tree the price will be lower.

Now I could continue writing on but I wanted to place the basics.

Below is the link to a good tutorial in a icon

These are some good tips. Icons are the first thing a person sees before they decide to try on your product. Icons and how good they look are crucial to creating if you want success. From a consumer perspective, if your icons look shitty or unappealing, I WILL pass and not try on your product, unfortunately.

I can agree to all of that. And I really hate it when a product has a filter on it that changes the color so drastically that it's like are you serious. Looks good and all but like I like the way it looks in the picture not the actual product tried on.

I love these tips. Picture is definitely a big thing. I noticed that the animated icons draw more attention. I suggest making a gif of the item in different angles.

i think many new developers, should understand how the keywords for each product works. that can go over some heads as not important, indeed very important helps buyers find ur content faster when they keywords are accurate.

I think having a good icon is good for start... however, does it really matter in 2022? I mean look on IMVU.. you will see a lot of products with not really amazing icons and they're doing well but could this be due to IMVU mobile? I remember trying the mobile app and not being able to see the product icon but you could see the actual product.

I feel what's more important is promoting yourself and your products as much as you can whether it's groups, gifting your product, social media such as Instagram and Tiktok (which is pretty popular for IMVU). Even finding a IMVU discord that allows you to promote your product can help you gain a following. Keywords do matter as well when uploading your product.
