This is going to be long as hell. xD

•1 Imvu gave me the ability to have a friendship when I couldn't make friends out IRL due to having to be home all the time. [I have a chronically ill mom who is debilitating every day from the disease Lupus (a disease that attacks the body sending the immune system into overdrive and eating things it shouldn't.) And so I help take care of her if she needs anything. And we only have one car and the hubby uses that to drive an hour one way to work every day. I also live out in the middle of nowhere on a beautiful farm and town is about an hour each direction as well. Though I do have 3 dogs and a cat that help make life easier and less lonely with them being goofy all the time and making me laugh. Imvu lets me escape the house in a virtual world, letting me be who I am and make friends that I can't do IRL outside the house. I love the people I meet and become friends and I love seeing the stories and experience that comes from everyone of all types from the Imvu community.

•2 Imvu also gave me more interest in doing art digitally and learning what I can do and learn. It has helped me gain more skills that I thought I would never have or ever get to learn. I struggle with things like my manic depression where I can be manic one moment and depressed and I can be more depressed than manic. So, in taking interest in making art for people, it forces me to be positive and keep my art skills alive so I don't loose them because it's what makes me, well... Me. I always impress myself when I making things and refine them and it makes me jump for joy. It's the little things that keep me happy in a world filled with doubt.

•3 The last thing I can write is that Imvu, even though it may sound bad, but in the turn of events, it's helped me a lot. I have such a kind heart that I know people see that and take advantage of that, and that really sucks. I don't have a social problem at all, I always have been able to make friends or start a conversation with anyone. But the one problem I had was a thick skin to be able to tell people who I thought were friends off. I was scared to say anything so I kept my mouth shut in order to make ends meet. And I don't mean like if some random person comes in calling me names and being an asshole. That's completely something different but, being able to view both sides has helped me gain confidence in my stance on things and learn to truly be an individual.

So none the less, the few years I have been on Imvu, I've encountered lots of things that has made me learn and find new things to try and take on. Even though Imvu has it's downsides. (a lot) none the less I wouldn't change what I have learned and who I have met.

For those who stuck around and read this, Ty for reading. And thank you for the people who I have become friends with!

i guess it all depends on what ur intention are on imvu.

but i think imvu can contribute some good qualities.

1. Help build social skills with others (limited but is a start for shy pple)

2. A way of finding new friends ( chat with different people from all around the world)

3) teaches u how to be creative, by being inspired by other creators work( this can be for artwork or content developing.)

Gave me a reason to learn to type faster,
a fond admiration of the werds ''your and you're ''
also made me realize, common sense isn't as common as one would think

IMVU showed me how to express my creativity regarding roleplaying. No other site has better roleplaying than imvu, period!
I love it before it's just fun and easy, unlike secondlife where you have to move around and the lag is awful!
don't get my wrong imvu lags but not like sl.

Imvu taught me how to be confident and speak up more and defend myself better.
when you roleplay you're gonna come across rude people and your job is to defend yourselves right. you cant keep poking the bear and expect it to not wake up. it's like people online have so much courage to be rude because they're behind a cimputer screen

imvu taught me to take things in to my own hands and become an entrepreneur.
imvu is a great place to start your own bussiness whether it be triggers or credits, or just plain ole beauty, I recommend it whole heartedly!
