I've been on IMVU for almost 5 years, and from what I've seen, the company's way of doing things and handling issues and problems have been more and more asinine. Over time though, it seemed that the game was gaining more and more bad press, what with the whole use of mobile and having kids and beginners come into rooms and cause a hassle for others as well as those who use mobile to spam pics on the feed, which is a whole n'other can of worms. Another issue is the lack of customer care, or the lack thereof. The staff at IMVU must have never went to college because when I go to the support page, I see moderators, who have more knowledge about the game than the devs themselves. But, what makes it worse is that some of these 'moderators like to play the asshole role with being snarky, pushovers and just over all dicks, and that makes me feel pity for them.

Other issues are that IMVU is going to the point that they are carelessly tossing away perks that were made for the adults...rooms that are overtly sexual are banned because someone kid came into the room hoping to waste time and then all the good triggers are gone when they reach shop. Yeah, I get that creators already sell them but, I don't want some flaccid POS when I can have the real deal...it's not like I'm going to show it off to everyone. But, out of all these minor things, the biggest crime is having all this money and all this influence (Because there are people who suck IMVUs dick just to get noticed), and not ever doing a damn thing about these other issues that shouldn't even be an issue to be pointed out. You have the UI still acting up for reason, the client crashing, shop still not being able to perform right, servers crashing, still making people pay a pretty penny for perks that should be given at a much better price, and content.
If IMVU isn't willing to innovate, what the point of them trying to do things like "contests" when most of the people who they send messages to don't give a flying rat's toss? Makes me scratch my head, that's for sure.

period! i've been playing imvu for almost 4 years and it's been getting worse. i was around when they stopped credit resellers and name change transfers which were 2 of the stupidest decisions they've made. my accounts have been unfairly banned for stupid reasons and they won't even bother to respond to be unless i pay them to use live chat. i'm surprised the game isn't dead yet.

Ha! I have been in the IMVU community for 13 years. Trust me, this is nothing new. IMVU staff develop their systems using an agile process and multiple competing development teams all with a management heavy hierarchy. It is common for 1 manager to approve a new feature ... only for another to scrap the idea right before release. This type of development is great for new software that needs to hit production fast and is still testing the waters, but is horrible for maintenance. When maintenance fails for too long ... long standing features are trimmed and removed because they become too outdated.

I'm also surprised IMVU ain't dead yet with all the "changes to the rules during the game" they've made in the past 10 years.
For example selling AP as Adult Pass at first, which was pretty cool, adult content was omnipotent at the time.
But then they suddenly decided to change AP into 'Access Pass' because some kids had got hold of it, and they started taking away all kinds of products at the first sign of any complaints.

Not to mention people getting banned for no reason whatsoever, and the changes they made to music, effectively robbing some users of lots of money that they never had refunded.

Rant could go on for hours if i would mention every bad decision they've made over time, but i still feel IMVU probably won't make another 10 years with the low number of users left these days...which they did to themselves.

i been on imvu for close to 8 years everything they been doing to the app is hectic after all of the updates they push out some of the features dont even work properly at all there is always crash issues and not being able to get into rooms some of the times after the updates this recent update hasnt had any problems but the past ones have had a lot of problems with alot of users not being able to get on at all like when it crashed for hours on end one of the days a few months ago u should of heard all of the hate speech on the app cause of no one being able to get on at all.
