That does not sound good. A real anti-virus will never start alarming and screaming at you. That only happens in movies ... or when scammers are trying to trick stupid people who think what anti-viruses do in movies is real. Restarting your computer instead of clicking on anything was a really smart choice.

Did it look something like this: https://www.2-spyware.com/remove-this-w ... rning.html ???

If so, it sounds like you ran into some sort of maleware on the internet ... that was trying to trick you and get into your computer computer, but a combination of windows defender and your smart thinking protected you. Good work.

I went ahead and sifted through all of our tools pages, and I did not see anything like that. Your windows defender message says that the attack came from the website "http://lethargies5.website/", which is not our domain. I did a search on on forums for that URL, and no results came up, which tells me that we are not loading any content from that domain: search.php?keywords=lethargies5

My best guess, is that you were re-directed to another site by a browser add-on that you installed, or by user posted content that's gone bad, or by ads hosted in another tab not containing our website. If you find the page again, let us know ... but I would not go purposefully trying to search for it again.

In the meantime, here are some tips and tricks for keeping your internet browsing safe: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11040

thank you for your help but the link that you sent me says that the page cant be reached but that has been happening since the computer did its thing yesterday. lol I think I may have to reinstall everything and start on factory settings if this continues tomorrow. I also went to look for that link and it was gone yesterday after that happened. the first thing I thought was that the first person that clicked it was dumb enough to be me lol and it deleted it self. I don't know if that is possible cause I am pretty much computer illiterate lol. anyway is there a place where I can go to navigate the site better I still have no idea what im doing lol. thanks for your help.
