Hi everyone, I wanted to share and receive anime/manga recommendations, whether you watch/read a lot of anime/manga or not, I'm sure you'll love at least one of these.
1. Anything made by Junji Ito. It doesn't come as a surprise that I'm a big fan of master Ito's work, as I'm using a character from one of his works as my pfp. If you like body horror, unexplained horror, cosmic horror, or anything that has to do with horror, then I'm sure you'll love Ito's work. He's IMO one of the greatest horror manga artists ever and his page-turn reveals are the greatest. Some of his works are long stories such as Hellstar Remina, Uzumaki or Gyo, which are absolute masterpieces with Uzumaki getting an anime adaptation next year, most of his manga are short though, so if you want a quick read you can absolutely search anything made by him and just read away. There's also an anime adaptation of some of his works but it just doesn't have the same impact as the manga.

2. Kaiji. If you like the thrill of gambling, you'll love Kaiji. It's a gambling anime/manga and one of the best in it's genre IMO. You'll surely love a guy who has to deal with unfair risks and situations using nothing else but his own cleverness (and a few tricks). Both anime and manga are pretty good, though the anime only has 2 seasons.

3. Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin. Must watch. True friendship, harsh situations, and overcoming situations with the help of your friends. It gets kinda grim too. One of the best Seinen anime/manga you'll ever watch.

If you choose to read something by Ito, I'd absolutely recommend you to check out Long Dream, The Window Next Door, and Glyceride. Those are among my favorites.

From those i've only seen rainbow and it's pretty good, i got pretty attached to the characters and still remember some of the music after so long.

For recommendations i mostly enjoy all the mainstream anime that everyone has heard about a million times already but i do always recommend one.

i'll just say it's a whole experience and one of those shows you have to see before you die, it's my favorite anime ever above death note.Very good story, Amazing characters and just the whole vibe of it it's perfect in my opinion music, ambient, art.it just stuck with me like no other show ever has chill inducing to say the least. Personal 10/10

Also would recommend Hajime No Ippo it's a boxing shonen it has good fights, likeable characters and it's actually funny (As funny as japanese comedy can be to western brains)

I really don't enjoy most of the "mainstream" anime. I actually have Monster pending in my to-watch list, so I'll probably watch it really soon. I've always wanted to watch Hajime No Ippo, I used to watch it on TV when I was young but never actually finished it, I guess I'll watch it after Monster.

Rainbow sounds interesting. I think I can watch the English dub on Funimation. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

I've watched the hole of High School dxd and Attack On Titan im just looking for more to watch and want to get more into Animr altogether as ive failed so many time cause i keep watching some intensely boring shit that involved walking around looking in books...

High School dxd i really got into all down yo the backstory and the love factor of it all, not just the boobs mostly the story

I've been reading Grand Blue Dreaming lately. It is a really good manga about a guy who goes out of state for college, and gets a job at a dive shop on the beach. Lots of humor ... slice of life, great story. It is low on action, but high on college humor and awkward social situations. Fan service for all genders via everyone wearing beach clothes.

I really did not realize there was different genres of anime im just use to shit like MHA, Attack on Titan, and shit like Naruto. That rainbow stuff sounds cool asf.. have to see what's to that.
