I would test with dummy accounts first, to make sure you don't get hit by a botting ban. IMVU does run back end code to detect unnatural traffic / URL's formatted outside of client norms and request headers with unexpected agents, as well as limits on requests per minute.

Maybe run some tests in a sandbox with wireshark running, to make sure all requests are only going to IMVU's servers.
