my honest opinion: I don't feel like starting over on any virtual platform again. I do have SL but you have to sink a crap ton of money and have a decent PC even to use the damn app. Making items and decent friends is rather challenging. I've put maybe 20$ into the game and that's probably all because you have to pay "rent" to hold a spot on land like a house. On top of it all you can't really put outfits together all the easier, it took a solid week for me to understand that things have "alpha bodies and heads" and particular clothes have to go with particular things, I dislike the heavy sexual crowd, I'm cool with sex but there is too much "sex" and everyone I've encountered on it is just "too much".

meanwhile, imvu is "kind of" in the right direction but they're trying entirely too hard with relating to gen z to even worry about and appreciate the older users they've lost. I don't really care much about the direction Shannon Mac has taken imvu. Ever since Varsha left it slowly went downhill. When I log on it's so empty, I dislike the new "desktop client" cause it's just mobile ver ported on PC. it's ugly and laggy.. Imvu is trying way too hard to be like other sites and virtual platforms. all of it honestly depresses me to a point where I ask myself " should I try to conform to "new imvu" or just cut my losses again since I've lost several accounts and thousands of dollars on the platform". I in all honestly came to imvu mafias again because I didn't know what other community to go to.

Avakin life is too childish for me. Outfits aren't all that detailed and there's no creator program. I might as well go play roblox at that point (at least they have a creator program). I'm not trying to conversate with kids if I wanted to do that I'd just go back to my old daycare/teacher job. I lose brain cells talking to most gen z kids these days.. Their downfall will be is that it's for phone only. I'm not trying to stare at a tiny ass screen and strain my eyes.

the "new" desktop client sux. i try it now and again to see if imvu has fixed any of the annoying problems, but i never notice any improvement.

i'm only using T3DE, for which i am deeply grateful to D.M. and the mafia fam (whoot!!).

it's sort of amazing to me that with all the problems of these various virtual platforms, known for years now, some team hasn't made a new one that 'doesn't suck', but here we are. i was hopeful about meredian as the graphics look pretty great, but even simple things like changing the height of avatars is impossible (and on the dev forum they say it's very very difficult with theior graphics model so nah gunna happan).

some day, tho, there will probably be a new and better virtual platform that combines the strengths of what exists now, leaving behind all the crap 'features' and annoying limitations

I like Desktop, for me its smooth and I have no issues with the way it runs, I have never even crashed while using it. I have issues with the names at the top of your head, its annoying and too much. The dots are better than the larger tags and other things they have added that I think are very stupid. It has things ppl don't want, thats the bottom line, I urge everyone to take the surveys that they send in messages from time to time, contrary to popular belief they look at those more than ppl think, to understand ppls likes n dislikes.

Currently a longtime member of imvu, is attempting to do just that will she succeed I have no idea, but shes got her ducks all lined up to make another platform, or so she says. Alot the creator community is interested in it as well. I'm keeping tabs on it, but getting a platform up and running seems like a tall order for one person, I'm rooting for her tho

Imvu or Avakin life?

that a good question.
imvu is a cross platform between moblie and pc and tablet and all drives. yes it lags and crashes but you can create and navitage throw room and expore and meet many new people that thorw all socail plateform from imvu, facebook, twitter, instagram and more

avakin life i belive is moblie only or maybe that the only place i have tried it and i wasnt a fan and didnt get to far or into playing on it

so for me imvu has it weakness but it is far better and i have been playing on imvu for years now with no intress in stoping

I prefer imvu from avakin
I have been played avakin for 4 years and imvu for 2 years, but if I count the hours I gave to both in playi g them then imvu would be the winner
Plus in imvu I earned money, but never did the same in avakin except wasting my time there.
Avakin has become already dead so there is no comparison at all.

is avakin pc game or just moblie?

Avakin is mobile game but nowadays u can even play it on pc on windows 10 and 11 maybe by downloading Google play games pc.
