dd is a command-line utility for Unix and Unix-like operating systems whose primary purpose is to convert and copy files.

In Unix-like operating systems, /dev/random and /dev/urandom are special files that serve as cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generators.

The command I wrote invokes dd to write data provided by the /dev/random file (thus random) to the /dev/mafias file (obviously a fancy name), reading and writing up to 512 bytes, the value assigned by the bs option (which would also be the default value) at a time, copying only N input blocks (value assigned to the count option by simply specifying the post id).
