I'll personally go with Korean Fried Chicken because they just simply do it better over there tbh. When I think of America's fried chicken (no offense) but it just ain't bussin for me anymore. And why I say anymore because I liked it before I discovered Korea's version. There was this day where I had to go make a large order of about 100 korean fried chicken wings for group of people I was with. And first off the lady who had to take my order (also the owner) was simply trying to be smart with me when I just asked, "Is it possible if I can get an order of 100 korean fried wings" and she goes "What you mean is it possible!?" *with an attitude* Like I thought it wasn't possible because it was such a large order and just wanted to clarify. No need to be smart with me lol. And my friends who have been there before warned me about the snobby owner and they were not lying. Just that little of an interaction with her and I was pissed off but without showing any emotions that I am lol. But anyways the chicken was good tho.

My preference for American fried chicken over Korean fried chicken stems from its familiar taste and texture. Growing up with American-style fried chicken, I developed a nostalgic attachment to its crispy coating and juicy meat. The flavors of herbs and spices used in American recipes resonate deeply with my palate, providing a comforting and satisfying experience.

While Korean fried chicken offers a unique and delicious alternative, with its lighter, crispier coating and diverse range of sauces, I find that it often lacks the familiar savory richness that I associate with American-style fried chicken. Additionally, the emphasis on sweetness in some Korean fried chicken sauces doesn't always align with my personal taste preferences.

Alsooo to add, accessibility plays a significant role in my choice. In the early 2000s, American fried chicken was more widely available in the area where I lived compared to Korean fried chicken, making it a convenient and familiar option for satisfying my fried chicken cravings.

And while I appreciate the flavors and textures of both American and Korean fried chicken, my preference for American-style fried chicken in 2000 was primarily influenced by its familiar taste, comforting qualities, and widespread availability in my area.
