Trouble Loading a particular room

How many products are in the room?

Shared rooms do a lot more auth checks, since there are multiple owners. The more products that are in the room, the longer it takes to load. Doesn't matter the size of the products.

The bug is so well known, that there's a name for it, "Chubby Room Bug", and people call shared rooms with lots of products "Chubby Rooms".

Once a shared room reaches like 50 or 100 products ... I think that's when people start calling it "Chubby", because the load times reach unbearable waits.

Whoa, that's wild. Also go figure, a 'premium' VU feature with issues. I'm guessing engine or code limitations though, since VU's core has gotta be pretty ancient now. Fingers crossed they'll fix it in the near future for you ..but my gut says not, if GetMatched and other bugs are any indicator.

Somewhat related, but I know room loading on the classic client consistently got stuck on the loading screen before I bought VIP for my new account. Would just stay at 100%; had to click the skip button - seemed fully loaded still. I'm guessing something to do with how they run ads locking it up.

Keep in mind, your system's specs also play a part, as well the rendering mode you use in the client settings.

@Auspicious K

Was that loading issue with one of our clients?

No, no. This was just on the official VU client nearly a year ago. The issue immediately disappeared once I became a VIP again.

Also while not my newer, beefier PC, I know lack of hardware and power wasn't an issue. I think the issue was genuinely software-side on IMVU's part; a bug they never fixed like Matched.

Although I admit, I hadn't cleared my cache since my original account got banned so I'm sure bloating was a factor.
