Hello, a while ago I posted how I should get started in this 3D thing, I had been given ideas like sketchup and such, but the interface of that program didn't catch my attention, that's why I tried to give blender another chance, with tutorials on youtube... the impressive thing is that you manage to learn, obviously by copying what the tutorials teach, but easily with a day of practice you can manage to learn shortcuts, etc. Below I will leave you a model that I made yesterday, I need to place the textures and so on, which I will learn little by little, but it would be one of my first meshes created for imvu.

Nice work! I agree with you about Blender. At first it seems daunting but once you start using it for a bit and get familiar with the interface and shortcuts, you'll find it is miles ahead of SketchUP. You can also use modern versions of Blender with IMVU, unlike SketchUP. Though to be fair, that's simply because there hasn't been a plugin written that works with modern versions.

Wow, I just have to say how amazing it is that you managed to create a 3D model of a television just by watching a YouTube video! That’s such an incredible accomplishment, and it really shows your dedication and passion for learning. Taking something as complex as a 3D model and building it from scratch, based only on a video, is no small feat.

You’ve done something that not everyone can do, and the fact that you figured it all out on your own is really inspiring. Your attention to detail, your creativity, and your perseverance in learning something new are all truly impressive. It’s not just about technical skill—what you’ve done shows that you’re able to take a challenge head-on and find a way to succeed, even when the path isn’t always clear.

Seriously, this is such an impressive achievement, and it’s clear that you’re capable of tackling even more complex projects in the future. Keep up the amazing work, and huge congratulations again for pulling this off!

Of course, the crazy thing is that well, I installed Sketchup and I said, I better learn Blender, the tutorials in English are super good (unlike for the audience in Spanish, which is my native language), but well, I will continue to work hard at it. blender to extract juice

SketchUp is better for starting with, if you are a beginner it will be easier to start with it, because it’s simple.
But if you’re willing to put in the time to learn, Blender will give you way more flexibility and options in the long run.

  • I've Architecture friends SketchUp better for them because quick and easy for designing buildings or spaces, which is why architects and designers love it.
  • For VFX, and game design, Blender is the way to go. It’s got more powerful tools for things like animation and rendering
