I think I've read somewhere in the forums that I should see "imvu lite" logo instead of standard imvu logo when IMVULite is loading. I never quite pay attention to that really. If I can't see the "imvu lite" = does it mean it's improperly installed or Windows 11 removed something ?
My Windows Defender and Firewall are switched on. But I have them set up the way they ask me before doing anything, admin rights etc. Nothing they'd do behind my back - it seems.
I'm used to having more control over my older Windows versions over years. But with Win 10 and Win 11 sometimes I'm not sure how much control Microsoft have over their products these days. And I'm not going back to Linux, life is too short.
I used to have the Iobit Advance System Care installed but after I noticed my Skyrim modding tools started behaving weird and I did some reading about its aggressive behaviour - I got rid of it. So I don't think it would cause any file removal in my case.
With previous versions of IMVULite during install I used to just run DeleteIMVU, install IMVULite and go about my imvu day. But after uninstalling Iobit bundle [and their uninstaller] I got a new uninstaller software - BCUninstaller and it showed me a lot of trash left after past uninstalls, including old versions of IMVULite. So I got quite concerned if things are going as they should.
Don't mean to sound too paranoid, but lately I wanted to try Sandboxie and test things on my second imvu test-account and just didn't want to risk losing my main account, that's all. One of my fav sentences are "Check and double check" and what my grandma said: "If you can count - count on yourself first" PC life seemed more simple in Win7 days !
